Radic8 is the leading brand in advanced Photo-catalytic Oxidation technology originally developed by NASA to purify the air and to oxidate ethylene gas in outer space. The major difference between Radic8 technology and other air purification technologies is that Radic8 does not rely on sucking air through the unit in order to purify it, instead Radic8 fills the air with super oxidants giving the inhabitants real time protection. The Radic8 CleanAir 200 is designed to eliminate bacteria, viruses, fungi, allergens and VOCs. It eradicates pet odour and kills surface bacteria and eradicates ethylene gas. It can be mounted on the wall or can be fitted on the underside of a top kitchen cabinet. It is for one room use and should be left on continuously. It is silent in operation. Simply install it and let it do its job. It can be vacuumed occasionally to clear away any dust or debris from the inlet and outlet openings. The Radic8 Clean Air200 uses photo-catalytic oxidation technology - UV light is created by specially designed UV lamps, the UV light is absorbed by the photcatalyst which is made from Titanium Dioxide. When this material is irradiated by ultraviolet light, strong oxidising agents called hydroxyl radicals and super oxide ions are formed. These agents enable the Radic8 to eliminate airborne pathogenic and non pathogenic moicroorganisms in vegetative and spore states (bacteria, mould and fungi, viruses and dust mites) allergens, odours and harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds). The Radic8 technology turns these pollutants into harmless water and carbon dioxide. Because the organic material is completely oxidised by this process, the photo-catalytic reactor is self cleaning relative to the organic material on the catalyst surface. The absorption and decomposition performance and photo-activity or the patented Titanium Dioxide base plate technology is extremely safe, ultra efficient and superior to most other odour technologies on the market.
